Established in 1930, Skyrgerðin has been at the heart of Hveragerðin, sharing its historic building with Ölfusinga's Þinghús at the other end. For many years, Skyrgerðin served as the town's only meeting house, solidifying its place in the community. Reopened in March 2024, Skyrgerðin Restaurant and Skyr Guesthouse offer a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our restaurant features a lunch buffet on weekdays from 11:30 to 13:30, as well as a café with a varied menu suitable for all tastes.
